Inspect all goods/packages/pallets upon receipt. Ensure that the number of items matches what you actually receive and note any visible damage on the consignment note/receipt. Also describe the type of damage.
If the package/pallet has visible damage, it is also possible to refuse to accept the shipment.
NEVER LET THE DRIVER LEAVE WITHOUT THE DAMAGE AND ITS EXTENT BEING NOTED ON THE CONSIGNMENT NOTE OR REGISTERED ON THE HANDHELD TERMINAL.
Immediately inspect and check the goods/packages/pallets upon receipt for any non-visible damage/deficiencies.
In case of visible damage, the extent of the damage must be specified. This could include: pressure damage, moist packaging, broken wrap, damaged packaging, etc.
Non-visible damage must be reported no later than 48 hours after receipt. Photo documentation must be attached.
If there is a shortage in the shipment, this must be reported no later than 24 hours after receipt.
Always send a written claim/report to the supplier regarding the above-mentioned damages, both visible and non-visible, as well as any shortages.
The recipient must report all damages and any shortages to the supplier within the deadlines stated above.
The written report of damage/shortages must include the following information:
Package number
Invoice number / delivery note number
Copy of the inspection report, if available
Copy of the receipt of delivery with a note of the damage
